I want to share my passion for delicious things. I have for my whole life.
My career started at the age of 13, peeling garlic at a local bistro in my hometown among the beautiful Berkshires in Western Massachusetts. Before I knew it, I was hooked on cooking. As soon as I could, I moved to New York City, working my way up from the lowest ranks to running the line in some fantastic kitchens. Since then, I’ve cooked all over the country for many brilliant Chefs.
But of course, food doesn’t matter without people to enjoy it. So I took the opportunity to delve into hospitality in a handful of front-of-house roles at the Michelin level, earning a WSET Sommelier’s level II certification along the way. Deepening my education and staying connected, I’ve spent a handful of harvests working in various wineries around the Willamette Valley.
While I will always be a restaurant person, these days I’ve been enjoying teaching cooking in a more recreational sense. I feel that it’s an unexplored niche in the world of food and people. I relished teaching young cooks all my tricks and now I want to teach you.
I live in Northeast Portland with my partner Kayleigh and our cat Bren. I show them love by cooking for them.
